Drive 10 can scan your drives and repair problems related to the numerous structures that are necessary for the volume to operate correctly. If problems are found, Drive 10 can often repair these problems and bring your drive back to life in only a few minutes. When Drive 10 finds a problem, it will build a new set of volume structures instead of patching the old structures like other utilities do. This is the surest and safest method of recovering your valuable data.

What's New

Version 1.1.5 adds the following:
  • Global updates to the application.
  • Minor update for Japanese localization.
  • Updates for full Mac OS 10.3.x compatibility.
  • Updates to the Volume Structure validation and repair routines.
  • Updates to the Optimization and Rebuild Volume Structure routines

I'm guessing this utility is dead. It was never upgraded to work with Tiger safely, so, I guess if you can still get it and you plan to stay with OSX 10.3, this'll work. A few of the utilities were very useful for me, but I've had to delete it since there have been no updates.

BEWARE: many disk recovery programs can actually destroy your data when attempting to recover it, if they are not fully updated to the current system specs... specifically TechToolPro!

My daughter was having the occasional drive issue on her iMac. Installed and updated Drive 10 and ran the diagnostics available when running off CD.
Everything's okay. Designated the CD as Start-up Disk and all HELL broke loose.
Drive can't be found, tried everything in the book (literally) and now I have one unhappy teenager- and you KNOW what that's like.
These kinds of products belong in the mid 90's and religated to System 8.0.
I'll stick with the OS X disk utility from now on.

You could skip some of those steps simply by popping the CD in your drive, restarting and holding "C" while booting until the OS starts booting from the CD.
