After Dark is one of the original color screen savers that was made available for the Macintosh. If you don't remember it, then you might remember Flying Toasters, or an aquarium of fish that swim around? After Dark X uses the built-in OS X screensaver engine, so you don't have to worry about your screensaver crashing your system anymore.
What's New
Version 1.0.1b fixes a problem reported by some users which caused the background edit screen in the NewFishX screensaver to display in Japanese, even when English was selected as the primary language.

Granted, not ALL screensavers being sold are high quality. I won't be commenting on this set, since I haven't seen them. But Marine Aquarium, for example, is a good example of a screensaver which has had a lot of work gone into it and is worth buying... as are a lot of others out there.
But just because they're screensavers, doesn't mean they're supposed to be free.

First of all, Fish runs extremely slow even on a G4/867 powerbook. The other screensavers included in the afterdark package don't have as many options as the originals either. And, unfortunately, they changed the flying toast with out an option to just have it like the original.
