Loopback works fine from webpages for the same stations you find in itunes. It may actually be double-streaming, but all you do is go to shoutcast, choose what you want, drag the listen link into streamripper on the web page folder and click the start button. Once that's on you can click the relay button, which may or may not be double-streaming, but yes you can listen and rip. In Panther with iTunes 4.7.1

Uhm, I just happened to check the reviews for this - It doesn't work for you guys with Panther? No.... I've run it without any problem from Jaguar 10.2 to Panther 10.3.2. Just fine, no problems whatsoever.

Anyway, I love this program. I only wish there was a START RIPPING RIGHT NOW!!! Keystroke that I could execute within iTunes or something. I have entire radio stations. On my computer. Like, what's better than that? All organized by information conveniently located within the stream itself. It would also be nice if the songs could be auto-imported (and deleted elsewhere) into iTunes, much like acquisition does with its mp3s.

But for now, the program does exactly what it's supposed to do; in Panther. Yes, I'll say it again, in Panther. It works fine, and it always has.

Very easy to use with a nice looking, clean interface. I have no major complaints.

StreamRipperX doesn't have a scheduler - so I'm not sure what the previous poster is talking about! Everything is cool for me!!!

A disaster. Spent hours trying to record radio stations and ended up dumping the program into my trashbin. Does not communicate well with itunes - you need both programs open at all times and you need to import the stations one by one. The scheduler never worked. The splitter (puts space between songs) is far from automatic and will split your music in midsong. You have to play the stations on itunes so even in playback you need both programs open - cluttering up your desktop. Just try to find the url of internet radio stations... Supposedly you can drag and drop stations off of shoutcast but half of them are dead links and I found it was not as simple as it sounded.

Great program. A timer would make it even better. Or some sync with ical.

it looks like XStreamRipper no longer works in no longer works in 64-bit Snow Leopard.

Pity. But there is another FREE alternative. StreamRipStar. It is Java based so it is not as pretty but it does do a great job at ripping multiple streams.
