Microsoft Handheld Sync for Entourage X... If you own a Palm handheld, you can synchronize, or transfer, items between Microsoft Entourageª and your handheld. When you synchronize, Entourage copies the contacts, tasks, notes, and calendar events to and from your handheld. For information about using Microsoft Handheld Synchronization, see Synchronizing Entourage data with Palm handheld data.
Requirements
PPC, Mac OS X 10.1 or later, Microsoft Entourage X 10.1.2 or later, Palm Pilot.

I am running OS X Panther, and using Office 2004.
I downloaded the Sync, and I get an error message indicating that "microsoft plug in not installed".
So, what does this refer to?
I have the latest versions of everything.
I am really ticked since I just purchase a new Palm Tungste C for $400 thinking I would be able to synch my Entourage!!!

This doesn't work with MS Office 2004. As far as I know, Microsoft has no plans to update this for Office 2004 - they probably figure they shouldn't have to do work to help a competing platform (to their Pocket PC)

Ok...here you go...
1) remove the microsoft office X folder (might say identities too...have
done it in a while) from "documentsmicrosoft user data" folder.
2) installer the new hotsync installer included with microsoft office 2004.
You will find this in "applicationsmicrosoft office 2004additional tools"
Good luck!!!

Why are more people not aghast at the fact that mail doesn't sync on this? Yes it works great on notes, tasks, etc. -- but it's like a multi-function printer that only performs 3 out of 4 functions. You couldn't quite say it works fine, could you? I got Office at a student discount, but otherwise this gap would have kept me from getting Entourage.

The sync crashes on me everytime I connect. As soon as the Entourage sync kicks in the hotsync quits. I've tried rebuilding database, deleted the entourage storage file. The entourage sync is the only thing in the conduits folder. Any ideas? Only thing I can think of is that the 10.1.5 office update kiled it. I hadn't used the sync in a very long time since office 10.1.1 (i think).
ummm, I followed the instructions and everything has been working without a hitch since the day I downloaded it all those moths ago. Never a problem. I love it.
My only gripe in an otherwise GREAT piece of software, is the omission of Entourage to Palm Mail syncing. That's just plain wrong. 2 stars off features for that for that.

Is it possible to Sync Entourage mail to the palm? I have been unable to do it. I am told that it can be done.

Mine just quit in the middle of syncing. Maybe I should consider myself lucky that it didn't muck up my Handspring the way it did some other users...
DON'T USE IT!! It completely screwed up my Palm. And the other two people I know who used it also had their Palms wrecked. Luckily, I backed up my data. What it did to mine was completely filled up my memory with invisible data so I couldn't open any applications. With my friends' Handsprings, it listed every single calendar event on one day. Microsoft sucks, sucks, sucks.
