I bought this game in a local Mac retail shote, and when I tried it first I thought is sucked. A fw months later I thought I'd give it another try. I am really starting to enjoy it. I find that if you use a combination of mouse and keyboard for movement, you'll have a much better result. I do agree that more options would be nice, ie. windowed on desktop, scroll rate, etc. I also found some places SO dark I eyes started to hurt.

What this game needs is a complete rewrite. Should use Q3 or UT engine for movement. I cant even move around properly. 1 hr of my precious time completely wasted.

I received realMyst for X-mas and after upgrading the G3's graphics card and adding a ZIF G4-500 card I have been glued to the machine. I have gone into preferrences and turn down the tracking all the way on the mouse and that helps a lot. The dark areas come from not having the proper stuff with you in the game .i.e. underwater lamp. Overall This game rocks. I also have Riven and Myst III just dying to get to those....

This demo is a large file for such a short game duration. Only worth a download if you have disk space and bandwidth to spare.

anybody who has played either of the 1st 2 releases of this game will should know that this is the stoneship age - in it's intirty

my gripes are the lack of a lightning mode, a must have for the MYST games, and i got stuck in a few places that you couldn't get stuck in the old point & click MYST games (getting OUT of the light house upper level, and the upper deck of the boat - a place you couldn't get to in the other releases!)

the price is good, and the fact that it runs under Mac OS X out of the box is another plus (MYST III needed a patch, and the other MYST games don't even have that!) now all we need is Riven, and Exile running on the realMYST engine, in one box, (and one that all 3 game run on the mac, not just the 2nd and 3rd) although the way MYST III does it is cool too, i'll take Riven with the MYST III treamant now too.

it's odd, now the 2nd game in the series is now the least technologicaly advanced.... :)
