shadowIP is a freeware IP monitoring utility for Mac OS X. shadowIP was written in Cocoa and is 100% OS X native. shadowIP lets you view all IP addresses of your Mac on your desktop or a floating window. No cluttered desktop! shadowIP even lets you configure which IP addresses to show and which not, and it lets you customize the color of the text it uses. shadowIP offers the ability to run in Faceless Mode, meaning it won't show up in the dock. shadowIP also offers to show the computer's name, as set in the Sharing Preferences.

a great little app, but doesn't seem to be updated anymore? Hope i'm wrong!
Wish also that clicking on the IP copied that info to the clipboard rather than it being spoken.. Would like a less fiddly way to bring back the pref window when in faceless mode.
Still, great app and i registered! Shame they never email me back though.. hmm

Update still not coming ???

In my startup-items, I find ShadowIP duplicates itself, so after a while, I've more than 10 auto startup items of ShadowIP ??? !!!

Please correction would be nice.

Awsome application. It is just what I needed. I agree with the previous poster, this is a very useful app if you change your network addresses often. I love how customizable the interface is, and that is uses minimal CPU.

Downloaded ShadowIP today and I love it. I use my Ti PowerBook G4 on the road constantly. I have about a dozen different IP addresses and I transfer bunch of files back and forth for work. This little utility makes my life so much easier. It updates instantly, and takes up abs. no CPU time. Amazing! Well written. Great piece of software. Looking forward for more utilities like this from this author.
