CipherWorks is no longer available; SubRosaSoft has removed it from their website.
It was, (although I still have a copy of it) pretty good at what it does, although at $90 it was quite overpriced.
If you need file/folder encryption, just search under "encryption", here at MacUpdate; there are some good ones available, and at far, far less than the price CipherWorks was going for.

Thanks SubRosaSoft for making upgrading to version 4 free of charge. And wow, the price has doubled... I guess the new features did it.

The program works great by the way and the possibility of encrypting an external drive is great, although I did not test that yet.

I would like to be able to shred with the Gutmann method, but hey Permanent Eraser takes care of that.

Works great, but you have to be patient, encrypting while copying data to your external drive takes a lot of time. :-)

You can also update your backup perfectly. Too bad it's impossible to have an unencrypted partition, so I can boot from it. :-/ But it's perfect if you need it.

I've always liked Subrosa products, BUT, they have really dropped the ball on ever single one of their products as none are OS-10.4 compatible. HELLO, do really expect us to stay on 10.3.x forever? NO. I moved on to Tresor.
