TVJab is an Instant Messaging client that runs both on Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. It uses the Jabber protocol to connect a Jabber server and chat with other Jabber clients. You can also chat with other IM softwares such as MSN Messenger, AIM, ICQ, or Yahoo, and you can also connect to IRC servers, if the server you are connected to supports these protocols.

Requirements
PPC, MacOS 8.6 or later, CarbonLib 1.3.1 or later.

TVJab isn't supported anymore. Version 0.7.7 has been rebuild without the expiration date, for those who are interested in using it. The project is on hold for a while.

I spent five to ten minutes (on dial-up, admittedly) downloading this thing just for it to tell me that the version is expired and cannot be run unless I download a new version. I hit OK, it takes me to TVJab's website, where it says that the current version is 0.7.7, the one I just downloaded! Annoying at best.

On OS 9.2.2, TVJab quits when I try to open preferences.

This is miserable hard to use. Gobs of further registrations, tough set up. I've deleted it already...

When I log in to MSN with TV Jab, I get loads of 'errors' saying: "[name] has added you to his contact list. Do you accept it ?" And then TV Jab quits . =^(
