But now (A) Address Book DOES print envelopes [ http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=addressbook/4.0/en/ad1063.html ] (B) free apps like Easy Envelopes do the same thing Addressix does and (C) the Addressix developer has abandoned the app to the Rosetta ghetto (many people, like me, aren't interested in installing Rosetta).
Sorry, but at this point the developer is doing a disservice. If you refuse to spend the time to update an 8-year-old app (that has free competition) to run natively then you shouldn't be charging for it. Anyone who buys Addressix now is doing so just because they don't know about the free alternatives.

Perhaps if you uninstall and reinstall...
Addressix runs fine for most people on 10.6 (assuming you have Rosetta installed).
And we just released an update to make it run even better.

If you're going to release updated or new software and expect people to pay to use it, you need to release it native to Intel.
There are many, including myself, users who choose not to install Rosetta to run dated applications.
Just something to consider.

Apparently, Snow Leopard, does not install Rosetta by default. One must choose the custom install and then proceed.
Addressix is the last app that I have that was writtren for PPC, and thus, when installing Snow Leopard, I will move forward and switch to a different address app rather than installing Rosetta just for this app.
Indeed I enjoyed the ride, but it is coming to an end...

1.) Font defaults to Helvetica every time launched, even in saved addressses.
2.) I can print once, then Canon i560 printer will not respond unless I restart application. Then of course, I'm back to Helvetica :-(
And if there are driver-specific problems, try Page Setup and File > Print.
