Bluetooth 1.5 for Mac OS X provides support for Bluetooth enabled headsets and printers.
NOTE: Headsets must support the Bluetooth headset profile and printers must support the Bluetooth HCRP profile. In order to configure and use a Bluetooth headset, the Bluetooth module must have the latest Bluetooth firmware from the Bluetooth Firmware Updater application version 1.0.2 or later.
For information about using Bluetooth 1.5 or about making your Macintosh Bluetooth-enabled, visit the Apple website.
I have a Logitech Mx 900 mouse (an unsupported bluetooth mouse). Things worked great before the update.. the only step I needed to take to activate my mouse was to click once on the bluetooth icon in my menu bar in order to find and recognize my mouse.
Now, with v1.5, I must open my Bluetooth preference pane ('pain') and click on my mouse in the list before the connection activates. What a painful update this turned out to be!
Someone needs to develop a 'quick scan' bluetooth app or menu-bar utility... or widget... something!

Bluetooth rendered unstable. Since installing 1.5 my version of 10.3 OSX has been unable to support Bluetooth properly. The Service switches off perodically, Address Book support is rarely ever working and I need to reboot to get it operational again!!
Unless you need headset or printer support, leave 1.5 alone!!

Does anyone know if Apple will produce a OSX 10.2 version as I really need bluetooth printing.

10.2? well, upgrade to 10.2.8 (it's free) and use the latest Bluetooth, version 1.3.4, for 10.2.8

same issue here... my connectionbs are very flakey.
I don't have a bluetooth headset to report on but, for anyone else wondering whether or not to apply this update, it has installed fine on multiple macs for me with not problems. The bluetooth devices I do have still work with the macs like before.
Great stuff ! Allows me to connect my wireless bluetooth headset to my mac and use it for stuff like iChat. Nothing slicker than a bluetooth headset to chat with. Plays music and everything, it's just another sound in/out option in your system prefpane. Very cool Apple, although quite useless for now unless you will market your own headset for iChat :)

No joy for me. Using a Jabra BT200, it just disconnects straight away.

Yay! I can't see what this update has improved or made better. My DLink USB adapter and Sony Ericsson T610 have worked flawlesly together. Anyway, it's good to see some under the hood improvements.

Update and subsequent functionality worked fine on 10.3.1 of PB G4 12". Apple's implementation of BT is getting better and better. I use BT with iSync and GSM Remote to connect with my T68i and Palm M515.

I think Apple has done a great job of implementing Bluetooth in OSX. I use this to connect to my Sony Ericsson t68i. My only complaint is that my computer tends to drop the connection with my phone after it has completed a task (such as syncing) and it appears that Address Book connection and OS connections are not the same, and sometimes get mixed up. But overall, this is a great driver and works flawlessly with my phone and my mac. I use a generic (Penblue) USB bluetooth adapter.
