Osirus generates hypnotic circular patterns, which randomly forms various disc shaped imagery. Controls are provided for different color schemes, the speed, transparency, refresh rate, line thickness, motion, fade, and full screen options.

Mac OS X 10.6 Compatiblity
There are built-in keyboard controls while the screen saver is playing. The up/down arrow keys cycle through the Color Styles, and the left/right arrow keys increase and decrease the fade out level.

Very nice Screensaver. Using 10.5.8 and the Leopard Version. I had to increase the Refresh rate to get some more colors as in the Default settings it was hung up on Tan and Black and White. Using a 12" G4 Powerbook. I'll try it on my G5 as well as my Intel Macbook Pro and My MacBokAir and see if there is a difference using the Default settings.

Yesterday, the requirement was Mac OS X 10.1.
Today, versions & requirement changed, and it just works for tiger.

Well, it may have 10.6 compatibility, but it's not working in 10.5.8. I get an error bundle saying it won't load every time. I've tried loading and reloading on both my local Library as well as the universal Library; I've even downloaded it again. Nothing works as of now. :-(

The previous version (1.1.5) works in 10.5.8, still available at http://toshoklabs.com/download/macosx/screensavers/osirus/osirus1.1.5.dmg

D9 is right. the current version of osirus won't run in leopard after installation because the bundle won't load.

Error on load. Either installing by double clicking or by placing in either the ~/Library or /Library.
Bundle error. Too bad.

great screensaver. an option i'd like to see is one where the speed of the screensaver changes based on network activity

A little retro techno - very good. Quite a few options for customization. It would be good if the pattern would fill from outside the screen to the center and vice versa.
