: I think I might have the same problem as the French poster below, if I've understood the French correctly. The program always worked splendidly for me, but since upgrading to OS 10.3, it downloads a bit and then hangs with a spinning beachball. I need to force quit, and am left with a partial download and a lot of temporary files. (10/7/2005, Version: 3.2)
Exactly the same with me it was working wonderfully and would do everything just right and now after running for about an hour it completely freezes up.

After that testing (which involved four or five of the available website downloaders for Mac), there is no doubt that PageSucker is the best, despite the fact that it has apparently not been updated for some time. True, there are some tools with more attractive, modern design - but none of them seems to do the job as well as PageSucker.
Not only does it download a website efficiently: but - and this is important – it renders the pages exactly like the originals, linking them locally without any trouble, and one can then easily see the downloaded website's content and surf from page to page offline. None of the other tools did it as well as PageSucker.
In addition, it offers a wide selection of filters based on different formats, although I had no opportunity to test them, since I needed to downoad entire websites.
Finally, it did the job rather faster than some of the other tools which I tested.
Conclusion: as long as no other, better tools comes on the market, I will use PageSucker. And I hope that its developer will consider continuing working on it, it is really worth its (small) price.

Like others, PageSucker stalls on me...
Can anyone suggest a replacement just as great as PS used to be?
Many thanks

However now it has serious problems and almost every time I use it, it freezes. I imagine his is due to changes in Java (the problems are the same on Mac or on Windows).
Is there any chance that a new version will be released in the future? I am ready to pay a new shareware fee, even higher than the original one, and I am sure most people having used it will agree with me.
