It definitely works on Leopard. Works perfectly on my iMac Intel 10.5.6 and extremely fast. Doesn't need any update or any other feature as far as I can think of - It's perfect!!!
I use this great freeware since 2005, but today I quit for Monolingual because it doesn't work well enough with Leopard.
No update since 2006, it's too long.
Works brilliantly well with Tiger and finds language resources that Monolingual misses.
The comment regarding Adobe Acrobat 7 below is accurate; after running this optimiser, Acrobat fails to launch (it gives an initialisation error). I suspect that this is because Adobe Acrobat.app checks to see if it itself has been tampered with (in case anyone wanted to circumvent PDF security).
For this reason, why not add a feature to add applications or bundles to never remove resources from?
Nice idea, looks good, doesn't seem to work too well for me...
After scanning and selecting English as my primary/only language, I then select iPhoto as a test, press delete and then YO doesn't delete anything telling me that 'There is no resource in a more preferred language in iPhoto than in zh_CH (or other lang)' with Yes No and Never as options - and repeats that a lot.
So much so, that I have to force quit it everytime.
I would like to be able to use this - any chance of a fix please?
I guess that message sounds so strange because the developer is French...
It pops up because by default "Warn before deleting preferences in the most [...]" is enabled in the Preferences.
Go to the Languages tab, select all the languages you wish to keep (make sure that you *always* keep English!), then disable the "Warn before..." option.
I had to reinstall Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro after running this program ... it was a real pain in the butt. But for the most part, this program did the trick and I saved almost a gig. It's pretty sweet! However, you might want to look into that Acrobat incompatibility though ...

this app has gotten better with the latest release. it's more stable than in the past. the prefs are saved and remembered now. i've used it several times and it hasn't deleted anything that i would miss. once you've chosen your language(s), it will not delete them. i've used it on a couple different machines without issue. why keep files you'll never use (thousands of them.) that's more work for your machine to index, search, etc. i'll keep using it. make sure you run it every time you install new software. it does what it is designed to do. handy little app.
(the "maximize" button selects all resources except for protected resources.)
Chokes on my applications folder every time I scan, although it seems to work like a charm when I point it at smaller directories.

Try to open the app. Bounces in the dock then disappears.
Deleted it.

I've seen this happen with the previous version as well. Possible solution: Delete the app first and then copy a fresh one from the disk image to your Applications folder (i.e. don't copy it to your Applications folder directly to _overwrite_ the old copy).
Does not seem to work under Snow Leopard. For many Applications you get an error message that says you do not have permission to remove certain languages even after you are the Administrator.

Thanks for a great (free!) application!

Trust me, it also sounds strange in French. ;-)
