Version 8.0.28: Release notes were unavailable when this listing was updated.
If you sign up for the developer program on Apple.com, you can download Xcode for free. In Xcode, there is the app called PackageMaker for making installers using Apple's Installer app. It's pretty cool. An example of one thing it does a lot better than most installer makers is, if you have a file or set of files that need to go into a specific folder (i.e., /Library/ApplicationSupport), you just set your installation up as though those files are there, drag and drop it in PackageMaker, then build the install package. When you open the new package, Installer.app opens and works like any other install package.
With InstallerMaker or VISE, the installer has to search for those specific locations so you have to run though and set all that up through a much more complicated process. It also makes the install run slower because it has to search the drive(s) for those folders during the install. With Apple's app, it already knows where the file(s) are going and puts them there without searching. If the folder isn't there, it creates it.
I used to use InstallerMaker because I liked it a lot better than VISE. But with PackageMaker, it's so much easier and takes so much less time, there's no way I'm going back to InstallerMaker. Besides, it's free since Xcode is free.

Time's over folks... Apple brought it's own installation system, why would anyone want to use InstallerMaker anymore?
