DON'T BUY PRINT EXPLOSION 3.0 IT DOES NOTHING BUT BOMB OUT. VERSION 2.0 WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST PROGRAM AND EVEN CAME WITH A CATALOG THAT SHOWED ALL THE WONDERFUL GRAPHICS. I WROTE A 75 PG. SECRETARY MANUAL WITH IT USING WONDERFUL FUNNY GRAPHICS THAT I CUSTOMIZED EVEN MORE. BUT SINCE I GOT MY NEW LAPTOP & BOUGHT 3.0.2.8 I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO OPEN OLD PROJECTS & I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR 3 DAYS TO MAKE A BD CARD FOR MY SON & ALL I GET IS MORE BOMBS. I HAVE ORDER THE HALMARK CARD SOFTWARE. NOVA IS A BIG COMPANY & FOR 3 YEARS THIS PROGRAM HAS SUCKED. YOU THINK SONEONE WOLD HELP US, THE PAYING CUSTOMER. IGNORE STARS BELOW. I GIVE THE PROGRAM ALL ZEROES.THANKS

My wife purchased this to print banners for her second grade class room. She had version 2 and loved it, but now version 3 will not print banners or anything larger than a single page if you want to print anything other than their templates. So basically, if you want to customize anything, forget it.

We spent over 2 hours on the phone with tech support and they admitted the problem was on their end and eventually gave us a refund (but there were a lot of hoops to jump through for that as well). Look elsewhere for printing banners.

I have been using version 3.0.0.30 for several months and found it quite easy to learn. I would like to see an update that would indicate the size of the cards, otherwise you often don't discover it until you go to 'print'.
I downloaded the 3.0.2.8 update, but can't use it on my G5 with Tiger installed. The update is designed to work with the new intel version. If a warning had been posted I wouldn't have wasted so much time trying to download a PPC version.

Very limited and "clunky" app. It's very good for the clipart and the graphics, but the interface itself is newbie oriented at best (being kind), especially after you spend your day creating things for print/web in the CS2 environent.

It is a $50 app, so you can't expect too much, but for a piece of software that deals mostly with type-for-print it's extremely limited in it's type manipulation/effects.

I gave it about an hour and saw that it's a very limited app, but, for someone looking to get things (biz cards, flyers, programs, etc.) together on the cheap, I can see spending the $50.

It was a little awkward at first. We use it for our church calendars and other things.

My wife has become a real whiz at it.

We think it's plenty adequate for our needs.

Unfortunately appears to be broken by Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. It loads but after choosing a template the graphics don't appear on screen - you just get a blank white page. Clicking and moving the mouse shows the elemnets of the page when you move them.

This updater fixed my copy/paste issues and font issues just fine under system 10.3.6. But now when I go to print (to an Epson Photo R200) it says copies 9999 instead of 1. Unfortunatley, changing the number to 1 doesn't do anything to help it print and it eventually just freaks out the printer until there's nothing you can do. This program doesn't have the best track record in my oppinion and if you can use something else...you probably should.

This program has worked perfectly for me in both Panther & Jaguar.

If installing or upgrading a program causes sudden instablity, always Repair Permissions & other troubleshooting before bad-mouthing a software developer.

And ask Apple why they don't do a better job of keeping permissions straight since OSX seems to be very sensititve to problems.

Open Disk Utility. (it is in the Utilties folder)

Select your hard drive from the list on the left in Disk Utility.

Select First Aid in Disk Utility's main window.

Click on 'Repair Permissions'.
