Parsec LAN Test is the first playable release of Parsec, a multi-player 3D space combat game. Up to four players can play in the game over a local area network via peer-to-peer procotol (not server/client based).

What's New

Version 0.197 adds the following:

Adds better support for low end graphics cards
Fixed some sound issues

Requirements

PPC
MacOS X 10.0 or later.
3Dfx VOODO 2 or a 128 ATI RAGE or better graphics acceleration card.
OpenGL 1.1.2 or later, 64MB of RAM.

This "game" was soooo ahead of its time. Too bad it never took off.

This game is awesome and is great if you want to have a fun LAN multiplayer shootout(with spaceships of course).Whats also really nice is that this is a free open source project that will soon be capable of multiplayer online play and expanded from the LAN mode only.A cool game-you should check it out GO TO: www.parsec.org for more about the game

FREE 3D space arcade game. Several cool ships to choose from, weapons, etc. Did I mention it's FREE? Hasn't been updated in a few years and is even open source now. I'm hoping it doesn't go to waste. Great for LAN parties.
