Ettercap is a multipurpose sniffer/interceptor/logger for switched LAN. It supports active and passive dissection of many protocols (even ciphered ones) and includes many feature for network and host analysis. Decodes SSH1 on the fly.

Works great, all I did was install ncurses from the website and ettercap, and it works fine. I just wish it was easier to find out what keys do what.

Awesome software, very easy to install with the forked packages.

You would not believe the power of this "gray" package, I'm glad it came to OS X

Works perfectly if you install it well.

1) Install libncurse (somewhere in http://macosx.forked.net/)

2) Install ettercap (somewher in http://macosx.forked.net/)

3) Make sure you path include /usr/bin/local

AND RUN....

On the download site they say that ettercap has no secondary required libraries. This isnt true as for one thing ettercap requires ncurses to run. Hence without these libraries you cant do anything.

These are the required libraries (which luckily are also on the same site).

dlcompat
gettext
glib
gtk
libdl
libpng
ncurses, of course...

After installing ettercap along with all these libraries, open terminal and type "cd /usr/local/bin". Then type "sudo ettercap". Type your password for root and you're done! If ettercap complains about window size just enlarge the terminal window.
