Clario

I am very pleased with this program. This security app is exactly what I was looking for! I am very confident that I am protected no matter how or for what I use my device.

This product seems definitely attractive. Easy to navigate and I like tips inside the app. I had one issue with Safe browsing won't turn on for Safari, but I quickly fixed it by reinstalling it. I really appreciate this app as cybersecurity troubles became very typical these days. Great to have protection against all of that.

I like their support. I've had a trouble in 3am and got proper help. They really care on a personal level. I'm gonna continue with this for my security needs.

Simple and easy app. I've bought it for 3 devices, but next time will buy for 6 ones. I wish it has a version for Windows too included in these 6 devices so all my family will have it.

Looks good. Has many options for protection: money, identity, device, etc. Easy to use and navigate. But when I decided to reset a password, I didn't receive a reset link. The support agent helped me, but they need to be attentive to this process.

If Clario is really from the guys from MacKeeper, then it's no secret that this is malware or adware. Stay safe. Stay away from this, or any similar services, that will drain all your personal infos.

The app idea itself isn't bad. But as for me... the main concern is about incomplete functionality. Chat is fine (according to my parents; they bought it eventually). VPN works ok (as most popular VPN apps) Didn't check email protection I don't know exactly if they spying on me, but my parents used that chat assistant or so ever, and they said that it wasn't annoying or sick ( dad 56, mom 45) Probably, it will be ok for folks who not so good with computers, but not for me)

Nice app! Looks easy to use. I found 5 breaches in my email. I tested VPN and it works ok. Will update my review once find something to share.

Here's a healthy reading that I can't recommend enough to all those who will feel attracted by installation an application like Clario (or plenty of equivalent security applications that proliferate on the Internet). Once you've read it, you'll understand that you don't need such software at all, because your Mac is already well protected by Apple, and because the security of your Mac actually only depends on your own behavior. I wouldn't trust a product distributed by Clario. They've only laughed at what they've learned from the past, and they still want to smoke out their most gullible clientele.

Difficult to understand Clario's strategy. They want to position themselves as a leader, clean, in the IT systems security sector. But they're buying the worst software in the Mac world. It's obvious that Clario's credibility is already affected by this faux pas, because it's not the so-called Apple and AppEsteem certifications that will change anything to the software's reputation. Clario may have had a nice card to play, but by carrying MacKeeper inside them, they shot themselves in the foot, which is very painful... Then, the fact that Clario also bought out Macupdate.com might even cast a shadow on the quality and the advantages of this information sharing site about Mac applications. Being able to have every download inspected by Clario is nonsense, because nobody can believe anything but disguised advertising. In short, Clario isn't aimed at any audience other than MacKeeper, and by no means at real users and Mac lovers.

Some of my acquaintances (but not many fortunately) happen to have bought Clario/MacKeeper, due to the malicious and misleading advertisements that continue to abound on the Internet. Their unanimous observation: the subscription is too expensive for the service provided, the technical support starts systematically with a robot before a human takes over (and it's exasperating!), the technical staff is a bit too insistent and asks for root access to their files with the risk that some personal data could be sucked by malicious people.

Like others, on this page, I'm surprised not to find on MacUpdate a link to the (rogue) MacKeeper application, even though the new owners of MacUpdate are the same as those of MacKeeper. Could Clario apprehend any disastrous comments that accompany MacKeeper?

Despite Vicky_from_Clario's allegations, it doesn't seem to me that there is any page other than the one related to Clario where to complain about MacKeeper. This software and its promotion have been and remain an infamy. Despite all windy discourses by MacKeeper/Clario representatives, the web nowadays (2021) is still teeming with paid ads for this useless software, unworthy reviews, testimony from users that have been ripped off by unscrupulous MacKeeper marketing people. Better ask your local Apple shop : you will NEVER be advised to install MacKeeper on your computer. Your cherished Mac does not deserve this application.

Runs under Catalina. I needed something to help protect me a bit more while out and about. Gambled on trying this out and so far the feature sets I use have been helpful and it seems to be learning as I go. Not true AI. VPN piece seems better than my cheap version I had. Not sure at all on the virus piece and protection. We'll see as the jury is out on that and how well it does more than spot things. I do like it works on all my apple mobile devices too. The time will tell when the upgrade rolls out in a bit. Can it keep pace and adapt,

I cannot comment about Clario's ability to operate under Big Sur; I use it under the Catalina OS. I think that it is useful, comprehensive suite of product capabilities. The installation and set-up process is straight-forward. However, it attempts to force a user to install a series of capabilities without determining whether a user already has and/or is paying for them. If you have a VPN (Hotspot Shield, from Anchor Free, or Star VPN), or if you have Malwarebytes, Clario attempts to have you install its provided functionality. It does NOT do a comparative analysis to see whether you have something else, or determine whether the alternative might be better. Also, it does not provide a basic functionality of a virus-detection and elimination module, nor does it link to any such functionality provided by Clam XAV, or AVG Anti-virus, or others. It could be a more comprehensive suite by either providing such protection or linking up with another provider. I am still testing the functionality on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone. As I get more information, I will update.

Only had it a few days but it seems like a perfect all in one security suite. The setup program walks you through the security settings in a simple manner and would be ideal for less tech-savvy users to install. So far I haven't run into any problems with it.
