Game graphics are cool on my 17inch powerbook, but does not play smooth, even at lowest settings, overall a bad port. Maybe the update will help, but if it doesn't I would say this game isn't even worth the $10 I paid for it.

I used to have the same prolem but managed to solve it today. :)

Because the game comes pre-installed, it's not simpy a matter of dragging and dropping. You need to locate a file called 'Oplist Install log' and copy it to your G5 machine as well. The path is hd/library/receipts/oplist install log.

BTW I think it sucks big time that one isn't able to update the pre-installed version of the game. The updated 1.02-version requires a CD to be in the drive and there clearly isn't one in case the game came bundled with a computer (iMac/iBook).

I'm having this same problem, but I can't get it to work on the eMac it was preinstalled on. It bounces once, twice, then quits. It worked fine before, and I can't find the file that you said to copy.
Maybe that's my problem, where could I get a copy of that file?

if you have a legal copy of the game, i.e., the CD, then you have the registration number, look on the CD package for the registration number.

if you do not have a legal copy, then you are out of luck.

The OEM version that came with some iMacs and eMacs will not work with the updated main application. It complains the serial number is not valid. Apple's version of the install and game discs do not supply a serial number.

guys i know a cheat and i am not joking

What would a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game be without cheats? As before, you can unlock secret levels and skaters, turn on moon gravity and fly high, pull off perfect manuals, and more. This time, though, you can do all that with one code: Enter “watch_me_xplode” (without the quotes) in the Cheats menu that’s located inside the Options area. That will turn on all the cheats in the game.
When you begin skating, pause the game with the Escape key and select the Cheats menu. From there you can turn various cheats on or off (unlocked skaters and levels will show up on those selection screens). Sure, you won’t have the satisfaction of pulling off the tricks on your own, but even the most uncoordinated gamers will be able to rack up huge scores while skating around as Jango Fett on his hoverboard.

Guys, ive just bought myself a Emac computer and it has Tony Hawk 4 on it!! Im used to the TH2 keys (b,v,c space bar and arrow keys) for tricks but noticed TH4 uses the number keypad. My question is can you change the keys to what you want in TH4? It would be great if someone could help me out! Cheers guys

I have only played the first edition before so THPS4 seemed a vast improvement to me. It has however serious issues on the mac and has disbabled my numbers key pad which makes life very frustrating.

I can get past the occasional slowing down to a crawl pace of the game. I'm having problems with whatever grab trick I put in the diagonal down spot simply won't perform. I can't finish the game with out that slot performing accurately.
