PowerDomain 2906 SCSI Driver contains MacOS X compatible drivers for the Adaptec 2906 SCSI card.
My Powermac Dual Processor G4 runs fine with the Adaptec 2906 SCSI card feeding my Iomega Zip 100 drive when in OSx10.3.9; however, when in OSx10.4 on another internal drive (NOT my main hard drive), I am told to shut down my computer. Disconnecting the SCSI connection solves the problem and OSx10.4 runs fine.
How do I fix this incompatibility problem?
(NOTE: Unable to download the driver update as it's supposedly unavailable)
I'm having the same exact problem. I'm still researching... but I think we may be screwed... : (
Ik heb een Adaptec scsi 2906 card en die werkt niet onder Classic of OS X 10.3.3
Wat kan ik doen ?
Ik wil een driver bij mac dow
Adaptec does not provide any driver for this card under Panther. They do not say that explicitly, but the driver proposed here does not work under Panther :-(... and they still sell the cards for mac os X !
This driver is now more than two years old, and I have got this problem with some customers I catter for, and don't know how to fix that.
Adaptec cards are natively supported in panther, I've myself a 2903, which I simply put in, booted and there it was.
