This driver got my LaserJet 1012 (non-color) working properly to print from both Mac OS X (10.3) and the Classic environment. The installer design is not the prettiest, but it worked with a minimum of interaction from me. This is not enough!!
From discussion searching @ apple.com::
Here's what you need to get the printer to work in OSX 10.2.
1) OSX 10.2 (commonly known as Jaguar)
2) Parallel ยป USB converter. (Mine came with Strydent Software's PowerPrint, is made by Infoware and works fine)
3) Gimp Print software
4) GhostScript postscript emulator I found more at: www.allosx.com/1030154694/index_html.
They recommend adding GIMP support
The LW 8100 driver, at least, lacks lots of the functionality of the 9.x driver. Among other things, there is no way to specify and save a setting for a custom paper size. A word to the wise...

Why and how do you write a review for a product you cannot dowwnload. My new laser arrives tomorrow and hp can't even keep their server up for a 48th download. Are these people serious about Mac support??Mike
