STAR My Data Safe is a small but useful piece of software that helps you to protect and organize confidential data on your Mac without employing a complex encryption toolkit. Just type in data or drag-and-drop files you want to protect. Add a password and you can be rest assured that your data is safe (AES-128 encryption algorithms are used). STAR My Data Safe can be also installed on a removable media like USB memory sticks, so security is always with you. In case you lose the memory stick, nobody can access your data stored there. It is especially suited for all people storing passwords and copies of private documents on their Macs or on cloud storage solutions. Encrypted files can be shared over public networks or sent by e-mail as well.
