Follow up to my post: PDF files seem to opening faster than what I said, around 15 seconds per page, not 25.

Just commenting on the new native PDF feature. It works OK but I find opening the PDF files on my Palm to be rather slow (I'm using my new Palm TX). It takes about 25 seconds or so to open up a new PDF document, and another 25 seconds or so to load next page, etc. Converting the PDF's native font into the compatible Docs to Go font must require a good deal of computing power. There's also an option to view a PDF doc in a text-only format that fits the screen's width (eliminates any need to scroll horizontally to read the entire document). All other file formats seem to open in little time, in comparison.

Be aware! On their update webpage they offer a bundle update with MissingSync 4.0 now. MissingSync is at version 5.0.+. Version 4 is an outdated version they will sell you and charge $30 extra for. This must be a mistake or a joke?

If you go the the MarkSpace page for Missing Sync for Palm OS you'll see that any copy of Mising Sync purchased after 10/1/05 is eligible for a free upgrade to version 5.

I am a teacher and Own a Zire71 (which I love) but I needed to be able to write comments about the kids thru the year and then download them to my laptop (Mac) so I could cut and paste them into their reports _ trying to save myself a bit of work!! Well thanks to Docs to go which I have had for about an hour I am more deeply in love with my Zire 71 than before cos it is doing its job much better. Imaginr how happy I'llbe when I've had it a bit longer! Brilliant!!
