StevePerfect is great for editing in the SimpleText format. When I upgraded to Mac OS 10.5 I had to delete the "steveperfect.plist" file in the Preferences folder in my home account. Before that StevePerfect would crash on launch with Mac OS 10.5 and later.

I don't care about the other features like controlling iTunes or playing a audio file; and I haven't even tried the internet Radio feature.

For my purposes StevePerfect a good piece of software, and it's free.
I'm now waiting for a universal version to be released.

A couple things...

First, arent these functions allready included in OSX? I realize that sometimes third party programs will offer increased functionality or convenience but if that is the case, you haven't made that clear.

Second, you're offering a separate MP3 player AND an iTunes controller? Which do you want us to use?

The developer's website says OSX 10.4 is required, not 10.2 like this listing says.

I suppose if all you were allowed to install on your Mac was one application, this would be considered essential.

Can't see the point of it otherwise.
