TypeStyler allows you to create professional qualitiy, fully customizable type effects and logos. The results can be exported as EPS, or at any resolution as bitmap images, or as layers for Photoshop, and even as Web animations which TypeStyler will create for you automatically from a long menu of animation effects, including html roll-overs.

Requirements
PPC, PowerPC, System 7.6.1 or later.

Since Typestyler of OSX is vaporware, I have learned of another similar program that will address some text shaping needs... and it's only about $30. The program is ArtText by BeLight Software (http://www.belightsoft.com/products/arttext/overview.php). These folks are actually interested in feedback and have produced a product that might be of help. It isn't as robust as Typestyler BUT it does work on OSX!

While the notion of working under Classic was fine for a while, Apple's move to Intel chips means that there is now no option to run TypeStyler on a new Mac.

I don't understand the work behind programming software like this, but I too must admit that I have given up on the promise of an OSX version becoming available after this 5 year wait.

Perhaps it is time for the developers to consider joining forces with another developer to get it completed.

(May I recommend approaching Softpress, the makers of Freeway? TypeStyler would fit their niche for kick-ass Mac-only software, and would compliment their flagship product wonderfully.)

5 and a half years since the release of OS X. Why are we still waiting on a new version? This was great on OS 9, it's time to move on to something more modern. Goodbye Typestyler!

While this may work well in Classic but it's been almost three years since an OS X version was promised. It's great to know that they are really working on getting a bug free version out to users but so long??

I notice there's no OS X information on the home page link any more.

Pity. Great application (Was?).

While we wait for the OS-X version, this version works quite well in Classic mode.

TypeStyler has steadily improved with the various updates. It's a great addition to any graphic artists toolbox, allowing rapid development of type designs, web graphics, logos. Ideal for print media, silkscreen shops, etc.

As I work with both PhotoShop and Illustrator and I love how this application exports to layered documents in Photoshop and vector graphics in Illustrator. I have generated things in TypeStyler in a few minutes what would require hours of work in Illustrator and the odds are wouldn't end up looking half as nice.

The added capabilities to generate web graphics, roll overs and animated GIFs are great additions.

I have been using TypeStyler since in was originally published by Broderbund - great product that allows for creative things with little knowledge or experience than with other products with far steeper learning curves.

A few hours with TypeStyler can make anyone look good at creating graphics that ues type.

While this program works well in OS9..there are many of us who do not run OS9 anymore..I have used this program a lot in OS9 and have awaited it transition to OSX. I do hope the company is still working on this transition.
