APS PowerTools 6.4.4 Updater adds the following:

Added Japanese language support
Added product support for PocketDrive U&I (USB 2.0 & 1394a 2nd Generation) Hard Disk and CD-RW drives
Added new firmware v1.32 (Oct 23, 2001) update for FireWire, Oxford 911 bridge products
This new firmware fixes a problem with waking up from sleep under Mac OS X
Fixed USB support for Mac OS 8.6. Previous versions, 6.4.1, 6.4.2, and 6.4.3 did not include required files for installation under Mac OS 8.6 (USB 1.2) and earlier. An additional file, "APS USB Support 8.6" is now included and

PowerBooks and newer G4 systems will now sleep properly with USB device attached. Previously, the system would not go to sleep completely if a USB drive is connected and running Silverlining Pro 6.4.3 (LaCie USB Support) or below. NOTE: The screen would dim but the processor is still active
Made password protected volumes more compatible with "open firmware". Previously, a Mac may "hang" during startup when the startup "open firmware" was scanning a disk with a password protected volume
