Goldberg is an image and movie viewer with some image editing capabilities such the QuickTime Effects, rotations (fixed and arbitrary), free zooming, selecting, cropping and printing.

Goldberg can read several image file formats as PICT, Photoshop, JPEG, TIFF, FlashPix, GIF, PNG, Targa, BMP, SGI files and also QuickTime movie files. Goldberg supports saving and exporting image as PICT, Photoshop, JPEG and TIFF, PNG, Targa, BMP, SGI and qtif (QuickTime Image Format) files.

What's New

Version 2.5.1: Exif orientation tag support added for JPEG and TIFF files. Minor changes and fixes for Mac OS 10.5.

This is probably one of the most useful and thoughtfully designed little viewer/editor around. The only thing I miss is being able to use it under Lion. Is there going to be an upgrade of the app, compiled for Intel? I miss it SO MUCH!

Great software. All what most of people need 99%
of the time, without the inconvenience of the
existing professional-like softs that require 5
years of experience.
The only missing function is a crop function that
allows to cut an arbitrary number of pixels on the
4 edges.

It just gets better. ;)

I just would like a few improvements: an "Info" panel/window showing the file properties and some control about printing, specially things like: fit to page or not and printing in the center of the page, top, bottom and corners. Besides this (some points in the last post mentioned would be great too: resizable selection and applying effects just to the selection), it's very easy to use, stable and very useful. Thanks for making it free. :)

Wonderful! Does just what it says - no more, no less. Now I can get rid of those demos that let me do the same things - sometimes, sometimes not - depending on how many days I've had it. Thanks.

excellent small program to use. my main use was to crop images and save them as .pict and .jpg files. perfect application for it. simple to use and very good. i will donate a little something soon.

ah umm er... where is the link? 404 evrytime for me for all links. Pity. Great software ! Forgot to update since 2.3.2 which works great on Tiger by the way.
