FilePane

Unfortunately, FilePane needs a "roseeeta" helper to work on Silicon Mac. Won't use it until it functions like a normal application, without any kind of "helpers". Over 2 years now since M1 came out, and still needs a "helper" ?! So, minus 2 stars.

Feature laden app for moving and copying files. Continued development is most appreciated.

I use FilePane mostly to move files. But you can do so much more with it. A real Swiss knife.

Very, very, very useful. I use it mostly for resizing images for Day One and filing PDFs

tried it, liked it, very neat thing...but not for me, Just too many functions, IMHO, application of this type should focus on doing one or 2-3 things at most.

Agreed with others here. This handy app ranks alongside PopClip, TextExpander, Copied, 1Password, and SnagIt in my Indispensable class of utilities.

This has to be one of the best apps I have purchased from MacUpdate! It is a non-intrusive, super easy to use, and it is very powerful. With a simple drag and 1 click, it can crop, reduce photo size, copy webpage into, forward to social media, and much more. This truly enhances my workflow and productivity.

Never worked for me. Just doesn't work. Nothing happens when I start dragging files. App Store version.

This is a very nifty tool. In some ways, it can replace the invaluable FinderPop. I was skeptical at first, but it does work. Well worth the $5 I spent.

It's unfortunate that Mac5 has had such a terrible experience. In contrast, I have been very satisfied with the developer's commitment to a superb product, and his responsive (in my experience) has been outstanding. I have periodically reported issues to the developer over the past several years, and he has always been able to solve the problem within a few hours, or will tell me that it will need to be fixed in a future release. For example, the current release has a fix for "sub-folders sorting, if they included special characters". I reported this on April 21 and within 12 hours he sent a fixed version of 1.9.8.5 and noted that he was going to add several more bug fixes/enhancements before issuing a new release. I recommend that if one is interested in this utility to use the demo version first and see if the functions fit your own workflow. I did this, and it dropped right in, so I bought it within 12 hours several years ago. The new enhancement with the + sign on the interface is a very nice addition; it is essentially a repeat function if you are copying/moving files. A real timesaver for me. Five Stars!

Ok, I have downloaded FilePane trial version 9 (having already paid for it ), and now I am unable to activate a registration number as I don't have one to enter. My security settings allow me to download from anywhere, not just the apple apps.. so have no idea what has happened. I will not start the trip version until I have the S/N I have already paid for.
