I've been through a few of these players. So far this one is the cleanest looking. Currently having an issue managing Google's newer "Recommendations" page, which is a bummer because I've enjoyed the recommendations they have been offering. Could have something to do with requests for location information and a lack of permissions. Anyway, that issue does not stop other functionality. I was glad to see it pick up right where I left off in my favorite podcast. Good work :-)

There's a problem with this reference here at MacUpdate. Radiant Player's current version (October '15) is 1.4.1 which works perfectly well with Google Music's latest version, and can be found here: https://github.com/radiant-player/radiant-player-mac/releases

I really enjoyed this app... however it stopped working after Google redesigned their Google Music Web Page. I am not sure if the developer is going to update this program. I find Gear okay except it takes forever to load artwork which was done nicely with Radiant. Sad if this program is not updated...

Same as in case of Gear player, I was hoping it can manage multiple Google user accounts. Without this it;s not much of a motivation to use it over the cloud web app version.

Great app, works as intended. It is nice to be able to pull the music service out of the browser so that it does not get lost. Access to the apple media keys is worth the download by itself. Note: does NOT seem to currently work with 10.10 preview. but it's in beta... so it is expected

Excellent little wrapper of Google Play Music with some nice extras (like themes). Every streaming service should have app like this!

fantastic app for accessing your google play music all access account. i tried a couple other apps that weren't free and they paled in comparison to the simpleness of this app. why change the way play music works? if you've got play music all access, this is the best app for you, period.

No doubt Google could squish this developer like a tiny little bug should they so desire. The app has existed since May 2013, yet Google has taken no action. Why, Google, why have you not protected your brand? Won’t this confuse the consumer? What if consumers don’t look at the app's “About Google Music” item that states, “No Affiliation with Google”? Worse, what if consumers see “Google” in the name “Google Music” and get the mistaken impression that the app can be used for conducting a web search, i.e. “Googling”? Alas, if only Bing had a stronger brand… Personally, I'm more confused as to why Google de-emphasized "Google Music" in favor of "Google Play”. OK, I got a little worked up there. Excuse me while I go Kleenex™ my nose. :-)

Either this developer lives in some country where they don't subscribe to copyright and patent laws, but some lawyer better set this developer straight before Google stretches him out a long, suffering cross. I mean, if Google Music is a trademarked name for a service or product owned and operated by Google, then no one else but Google has the right to use that name without running the risk of being in violation of the law for infringement on Google's exclusive right to that name. Write some software and call it Disney Animation to see how quickly Walt's heirs will string you up for using their brand name! Either this "Google Music" product is owned and operated by Google, as well as being developed and marketing as part of the brand new, or the developer, whose name does NOT look like Mr. Google, is illegally trying to market his product on Google's coat tails, which is forbidden. You can't legally call photocopying "xeroxing" because doing so dilutes the Xerox brand name into just another common word in the English language. Similarly, I doubt very much that this developer will for very long get away with calling his product "Google Music," because it confuses the public about what the real Google Music service is all about, and the developer is opening himself up to a whole word of pain if he continues to act so foolishly and so recklessly.
