For those familiar with this...
An older Windows version of this phoned home, sending info it shouldn't, and was designed to not work if an internet connection was not present (it was obtained from their website).

Does the current Mac version do this as well?

Dinoferrari you have to fix this problem not the game developers...sys prefs- Security & privacy settings - General... Unlock the page and change your settings to allow software from developers other than those who sell through the App Store! Good Luck.

@Liongley is correct but here's a useful tip. It's best to keep that pref setting set to "Mac App Store and identified developers" just to avoid the rare case of malware slipping through. What you can do, though, is try to open the app and when you get the warning, go to System prefs > Security & Privacy >General and you'll see a message stating " '(app)' was blocked from opening because it is not from an identified developer." Next to it is a button labeled "Open Anyway." Clicking that will allow you to install your selected app. It's just a level of security that can be worked around.

@Dino... With the new knowledge imparted by replies below, you might consider reviewing your own half-star review.

It is inappropriate to give a negative review when you haven't used the product. This is a PROBLEM with launching the app. You should be seeking ANSWERS. Not drawing conclusions. That's what the "Visit Developer's Site" link is for. Also, you could do your homework first, like googling your error message, or just using common sense. It's perfectly clear that "iFunBox can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer" is a SYSTEM MESSAGE.
