I always enjoy customizing my Mac. Glad some new tools and pre-release desktop pictures are getting released.

This: 5120 x 2880
MacBook Pro Retina Resolution: 2880 x 1800
4K Displays: 3840 × 2160

So... 5120 x 2880 Cinema Display coming soon? :)

But, we know so little about the ocean it almost is like outer space. :-)

I'm going to give it a try.

Where's the provenance certificate stating that it was actually shot at Mavericks Beach? This being Apple it might have been taken in China. (The Developer link here links to a file titled osx_hero - a considered alternate name?)

quit hating. doesn't help. . .

Wow - I didn't know there were any literal people left in our post-modern world. Take a course in irony. The comment was a comment on the humorless literalism of people not able to see that asking for a "provenance certificate" on a desktop would have to be a (look up the next word if you need to) joke.

I love how you changed your reply. You've just been waiting to use "post-modern" in a sentence since you first heard about it a week prior.

Will you be teaching the course in irony? Please don't confuse irony with coincidence, or breed, or vote.

Hm... maybe they should also mention "68K" under requirements?

Besides that: Apple's OSs have always been kind of elegant and stylish to me. But in my eyes the new 'colorful' appearance of 10.9 and iOS7 does not fit, somehow.

I can respect that...it's a subjective topic. For me, however, I like the new look to the "aging" OS X/iOS appearance.

I say bring back the look and feel of OS 6. I miss the Font Mover Truck :P Seriously though, new looks and feels are great but I hope not at the expense of work flow.

I love the new look of iOS 7!

I had wished they had changed 10.9 more. I'm tired of the shiny blue buttons and stuff.

Everyone is doing the shiny glassy look now, so it's time for a change.
