Playlist Assist overview

Playlist Assist provides a floating window to which tracks from iTunes can be dragged and then sorted, arranged, auditioned, edited, exported as text, and saved back to iTunes as a new playlist. Keeps playlist construction in focus while still being able to conveniently navigate around iTunes for tracks and playlists.

Version: 1.2.2
To quote Doug Adams' web site:
"Some users who have updated to v1.2.2 from a previous version are getting a crash of the app at launch. This may be due to an issue with "stale" table-sorting data in the preferences file. To fix:
1. Make sure you have your registration code handy since you will need to re-enter it after performing this fix. If you need your code, email support.
2. Open Terminal.app. Enter or copy-and-paste this at the prompt:
defaults delete com.dougscripts.Playlist-Assist
...and then press return. In a second or two the prompt will be back. Quit Terminal.
3. Re-launch Playlist Assist and re-apply your registration code."

@ Doug Adams: I was expecting to be able to have more than one app window opened at time. I wish I could have four playlists (window) opened and then drag and drop from iTunes to one of them. Do you think it is possible in a future update? Thank you in advance.

I tried the app just to see if it works in OS X 10.6 and it does, at least with iTunes 10.7. The requirement for OS X 10.7 seems to be wrong. The app works as advertised. If you feel you need the to make playlists in a separate window it's useful. In my case I wouldn't use this even on iTunes 11. I'd rather look for an alternative player.

Macupdate, The release info states that versipn 1.1.0 "Fixes issues running under OS X 10.6", yet you list 10.7 as a requirement. Why? You don't fix issues under OS X 10.6 if your app doesn't run under 10.6.

Don't you have this same functionality if you simply keep iTunes 10.6.3 and don't update to crappy newer versions of iTunes?
