I tested this on a Mac Mini G4 1.25 GHz and the result was not convincing:- it's working but had some crash- when you look at Activity Monitor after both Tenfourkit and Safari have loaded the same page, Tenfourkit tends to consume more CPU cycles when in the background.Nice effort anyway, I've seen with "Leopard Webkit" that the result may vary from one release to the next, it is worth trying anyway, but my advice is: use the app until you're sure, then if you've got a test partition install the Webkit and test if other apps using webkit (Mail...) are still running fine or better, then you can safely install on your main partition.
I'd like to know the cause of the crashes. Please file a bug on the Google Code project page and attach the crash reports. Tenfourkit will not see any real development but bug fixes are possible - in case they aren't caused by heavily outdated software like the h.264 codec or Flash Player.
Unfortunately it's my mother's machine, I don't use it and won't have time to reproduce my trial. The main thing for me was to test if it was faster on that old machine than the regular Safari, but no.I usually use a myspace page to test, but I'm not sure... it might have been something with Flash indeed. ;-)
Crash Reports are saved automatically to "Library/Logs/CrashReporter/" in the User's home directoy. In the case of Safari there should be a file "Safari.crash.log" containing all the Crash Reports for Safari.Would be nice if you could upload it!
