It seems the version 1.6.1 of CarbonLib is installed automatically as part of the Classic environment. It happened to me at some point after I in Mac OS X system preferences chose which system folder (previously untouched by Classic) would be used in Classic mode. It also left a installation log file which (I think) mentioned this update had been made.

Followed the "more info" link to Apple's website. It's a page for CarbonLib 1.6.
Ran a search on there for CarbonLib 1.6.1 and got zero results for 1.6.1 and one result for 1.6. It looks to me like CarbonLib 1.6.1 does not exist, or at least it is not available on the Apple site.

Why do you offer an 1.6 update in German language, if it cooperates exclusively with OS 9.2 in US-English or international English?

Although I downloaded CarbonLib
1.3.1 as suggested by Canon, when I
tried to open Canon's "EASY-PHOTO
PRINT PLUS' I, too, was met with:
CarbonLib could not be found.
Suggestions? Please.

I took pity and mirrored the file on my iDisk... clicking the download link here on this MacUpdate page will now download CarbonLib 1.6 from my iDisk.

This file is taking up space on your server for nothing. I should have read the previous comments before I bothered to waste my time and bandwidth downloading the file. Shrinkwrap error makes it useless.

Microsoft already addressed this problem here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842646/en-us?spid=2490&sid=global
This (as I verified) is a MacOS error. For me it happened after a system shutdown causing Office and Adobe apps to stop working.
The answer was as simple as using the Disk Utility to Repair the disk permissions...
All working now ;)
