My first impression: the interface is far away from cool, but with a good contrast.

Direct access to folders and volumes is a good idea, and DVDs and EyeTV movies are displayed as movies (and not as folders). But if I select a EyeTV movies, then EyeTV is started and it gets bumpy. Same for iTunes (AppStore) movies, but I guess this is the only way.

What I really dislike is the metadata display: for DVDs I only see a cover (after some time) and no description.

Finally: it is a suitable substitute for Front Row, even if I miss its interface.

On request you can use "nessMediaCenter for Mavericks" (64 Bit) which plays EyeTV movies within nessMediaCenter (and not EyeTV).

With "Movie Info" (available at the File menu), metadata (cover and description) can be set for DVDs, movies and media shows. The metadata will be saved inside the DVD folder if possible, the display is fast and you decide what will be displayed.
