While the concept and execution sound quite interesting and helpful, I can't help worrying about this aspect, as noted on the dev's website:

Technical support is included for 30 days after the purchase date for single licenses, 90 days for site and global license. After this period technical support will be 40$ CA per incident.

That's a pretty cavalier attitude, one which will keep me from buying this app. I've had issues come up years after I bought a license for an app and the devs have always been helpful and never once asked for a fee to support their product.

You know what? You're right. It was wrong to put that up there, and it's now fixed. Thanks for bringing that mistake to our attention, Prince_Isaac!

This comment about technical support was never meant for Fusio or Folda. Actually, this is what happens when you do copy/paste from another product's page without paying attention. :-)

Also, since there is no way for developers to know who bought what through the App Store, making the transactions between the user and the developer 100% anonymous (unless the user contacts us directly, of course), this kind of comment about paying tech support from a developer is useless. There would be no way to track if a user actually did buy the app from us, when, etc.

Like I said, you're right. As a user, I appreciate being able to get help years after I had bought something from a company, without paying again, and this is what CapsaSoft will do from now on. Thanks for making us realize this, it's appreciated!

Thanks for responding in this forum and for altering your policy statement for Folda. Now I'm ready to do business. Unfortunately, one of the less acceptable aspects of the MAS is the loss of connection between the user and the developer. As a long supporter of indie developers, I've developed good relations with them that have gone beyond simply getting answers to various questions. I wish you success with this app.


You're welcome. And it's not only Folda's policies that have been affected by your comment, it's the entire's company's policies on tech support, and for as long as I'm the one deciding! :-)

I agree with you about the MAS cutting the connection between the users and the developers. This is why there's a contact us menu item in the help menu! No policy against that... yet!
