With Paragon Camptune X, for the first time, you can redistribute disk space on a Mac in minutes!

In the past, to reallocate free space on your Mac, you'd need to back up the Boot Camp partition, delete the partition, recreate an NTFS partition with a new size and, finally, restore the Windows partition backup to the new NTFS partition, a process that could take anywhere between two to five hours. Fortunately, Paragon Software has developed Camptune X, which achieves the same result in a matter of minutes!

What's New

Version 10.4:
  • OS X 10.9 Mavericks support

Requirements

  • OS X 10.6 or later
  • Boot Camp (Windows XP SP2 or later, Windows Vista, Windows 7)

Worked flawless for me. MacBook 15 Retina with 10.8.3. Only have used it once and worked perfect. I have no need to do it again but with how easy it was, I have no reason to doubt it will work perfectly like it did the first time.

Why do I keep getting e-mail saying that this app is "discounted"? It's always been $19,95.

The current version is 10.5.29, not the 10.4 listed by MacUpdate.

Not sure if this is the problem, but Mac OS x 10.7.5 started overheating and freezing around the same time as a space adjustment done with Camptune X 10.3.65. First repartition in June worked perfectly. Second one done early January failed before the repartition even started. Apple and a smooth running reinstalled OS partition confirms the crashing is not hardware related, so this app may have damaged something. Use with caution, it can get buggy.

Don't waste your money!!!! Doesn't work, and support takes forever to reply. I finally ended up erasing my partition and reinstalling windows with boot camp assistant.

Sounds like you were being impatient. Repartitioning takes quite awhile, especially for bigger drives. Mine took a few hours but ended up working flawlessly.

10.1 has been released with support for OS X 10.8

http://www.paragon-software.com/home/camptune/requirements.html

I was searching how to go about reinstalling and reactivating my product code for Win7Pro because I really wanted to allocate more of my hard drive to Bootcamp and was ready to wipe the Bootcamp partition... yadda yadda... this came up in my searches and I decided to check the site out again—10.8 support!

Bought it, downloaded, didn't read the manual, looked at how much hard drive space I had and thought about how much I wanted to allocate to Bootcamp, slid the slider over and let Camptune X do its thing. It prompted me a few times throughout the process for my password—from the original 64GB I changed it to about 124GB and took a little over an hour—but when it was done it was done and flawless!

***I'm assuming a lot of low level formatting took place so I let the program do its thing even though the progress bar seemed to not move the ENTIRE time it was working but it worked–hard drive recovery, optimization, etcetera always takes a LONG time and patience!!!***

This saved me so much time and effort it was well worth the price!!! Everything is working *flawlessly* so far. I'm very happy with this purchase.

absolutely HORRIBLE !! i just purchased camp tune x today and tried it out on my windows 7 partition to simply increase the size from 142 gb to 248 gb,it got to the final step which said be patient it was being carried out and then it said FAILED!! not only did it fail to do what its supposed to do but i am now left with a completely wiped and unusable Windows 7 partition and all is lost!! Thank God i have a full winclone backup i made earlier which i will simply restore back to fully functional operation within minutes. I want a full refund for this POS!

hmmm wish i knew before that it didnt officially support mountain lion. i thought i did read somewhere that it did support 10.8,maybe 10.8.2 is whats causing the problem. Anyway even if they do update it to support mountain lion i dont think i will ever risk resizing my beloved windows partition with this crap again.

So now on the website it has been updated to say "works with Mountain lion, yet when i redownload the paid version from the paragon site,it is still version 1.0 and in the read me file say sits compatible as far as snow leopard. I did however notice they changed the icon and now it seems you must burn it to a cd or dvd and load up form the disc to resize partitions whereas before you could run it from your mac desktop without burning the dmg. I will still hold off on using it until it is officially updated.

Just got an email back from Paragon software;

"thank you for your request and your interest in our software solutions.

Unfortunately Camptune X does not support OS X Mountain Lion. We'll release a newer version with Mountain Lion compatibility, but I can not give you any information about a release date. It is still in developement. I'm sorry for that.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further question.

It does work though. At least it did for me under 10.8.2. I guess it's just a case that they don't 'officially' support Mountain Lion.

But if you try it and it screws up your disk... don't blame me.

I've seen this software in operation before (the old version which didn't run within OS X back then) and have to say it's probably the single most important Utility software that is absolutely crucial for any Mac users whom run Windows in Bootcamp.

However, I've held back purchasing this new version that can run in OS X because the 'System Requirements' shown on the Paragon webpage for this clearly show compatability up to OS X Lion with no mention of Mountain Lion. In fact there is a 'NEW' word shown next to OS X Lion on their webpage implying that the haven't updated this detail because they have yet to release a Mountain Lion compatible version..?

I noticed 'beamster39' that you installed it on a MacBook Pro Retina! which I'm presuming came shipped with Mountain Lion, therfore does it work ok? and is the GUID table format preserved on the Macintosh HD after a Camptune resize? I will buy if 100% compatible with OS X Mountain Lion.

Any info appreciated, thanks.

The website does mention that NTFS for Mac is now 10.8 compatible so that should mean that Camptune specifically only supports OS X as far as 10.7. I'm not buying a license either until 10.8 compatibility is introduced to Camptune. Odd policy though from Paragon to not mention 10.8 for Camptune at all.

According to this Apple support forum thread ( https://discussions.apple.com/message/19482387#19482387 ), user "InfamousMacBook" successfully and happily used this on his Mountain Lion'd MacBook without a hitch.

I think I'll purchase a copy. I made the mistake of partitioning 64GB toward Win 7 Pro and after OS and a couple of games I've barely 12GB left! Sheesh!

I have the same problem as Umaromc. In my case Battlefield 3 alone is a 16.5GB install and when you add that to other stuff and win 7 instal; before you know it you're out-of-space! It's hard to believe that Apple haven't built a resizing utility straight into the Bootcamp or Disk utility within OS X for resizing partitions after - which is just as strange why Apple disable their built-in Trim support for third party SSD's yet allow it for only their own supplied SSD's.

Downloaded Paragon's Camptune X Software for $19.95 along with the Quick User Guide. Adjusted the free space between Boot Camp Windows 7 and Mac OS X Lion on a MacBook Air. Software worked as exactly as advertised. Within 10 minutes or so the adjustment was made with no issues.
