It still doesnt work !I cannot download Aperture Update from Mac App Store since one week !Is anybody have the same problem ?
Updated Snowy on my MBP 13" Early 2011, ran Software Update after the reboot, then let it download and install the EFI Firmware 2.7 Update (or so I thought). Still no workie. The Mac booted right into the logon screen, as before, and Software Update still prompts me to install that particular update. Not good.
Used Software Update to install.Required a restart but all went smoothly.Mid 2009 MBP, 10.6.8
Sorry, I think I didn¨t make myself quite clear - the Software Installer Update did install without a hitch. I was hoping, however, that I'd be able to finally apply that EFI Firmware Updater to my 13 incher now, which I still am not.
If this doesn't fix issues like this, what is it good for?Does anyone offer a more detailed explanation of what it does?@Holypoly: I know things should work via Software Update (and theoretically this update solves it), but if you wish, you can try downloading straight from Apple and then installing manually.
@Vitu,thanks for the suggestion - but even manual installation didn't work on this particular MBP. Frustrating.
The Apple forums have some topics on this particular EFI related to Snow Leopard users. With sugestions ranging from having your MBP plugged in (as every EFI update requires) to taking it to an Apple Store.
Thanks - I'll have a look.
