Microsoft IntelliMouse Driver is used with the USB-based mice that have no trackball inside of them.
NOT OSX-supported? are you kidding me? yet again, the ploy against Mac users continues. but who does it hurt? in the end, it's just as easy NOT to purchase from Microsoft!
Doh! Of course there's support for OS X, but the driver is named Microsoft IntelliPoint Driver X.
Mac for graphics and power,
Logitec for gaming,
Klipsch for speakers,
Microsoft for mice and solitaire.
It's that simple
Driver? Who needs a driver?
I just received a Microsoft Optical Wheel PS2 & USB mouse. (cost... $9 US) I plugged it in and turned on my PookBook running the latest Panther. The mouse buttons and scroll wheel work exactly like I want without the aid of a driver.
If it were to be configured for a left-handed person or customized in some other way, then a driver would be necessary... I guess.
what if you wanted the muse to do other things than scroll and click in varius programs? then the driver comes in handy...
is this driver compatible with the wireless optical mouse of microsoft???
A really great program with a great mouse!!! Didn't expect that from Microsoft :P, but this is real ok!
Easy to setup. Much more stable than other versions.
Is there no driver for OS X? I wanna config my mouse like in OS 9
use USBOverdrive X... it works per4fectly with almost all usb input devices, although it does feel less responsive than microsoft's driver under os9.
go here for the OS X driver download.
