The Cookie Stumbler Safari Extension prevents the most common tracking Cookies from being saved on your Mac, providing you with a basic protection against tracking Cookies and stopping them in their tracks.
You don't have to do anything - just browse the internet as normal and Cookie Stumbler for Safari will do the rest.
Note: The protection provided by the extension is basic and blocks tracking Cookies from the most common advertisers only. For a full, all-round protection, download Cookie Stumbler for Mac OS X.
I hate the old bait and switch. If it says FREE on MacUpdate, that should mean it doesn't cost anything. Of course, the developer lied to get people interested in their paid-for product after you've downloaded it, but what you get is basically useless. Fool me once, and it will be a cold day in hell before I buy anything from you. Be up front and I might download the product, try it out, and pay for it. That's how it should be.
I am not sure if you both realize this, but I need to earn money too to survive. Of course the extension is a way of getting user interest for my main product. "Free" doesn't pay for anything I need to pay for in order to get through the day, so please consider this before you post comments like this.

I need to sit down for a long time and go through the web & analyze Cookies in order to create the definitions, so of course I'd like to be paid for it. If you can't agree with that, you can't use them.

The extension is free. It costs nothing. There isn't a single alert telling you to buy anything. Nor are you being prompted to purchase the extension. The MU listing clearly states that the extension blocks the most common cookies only - that's what you get for free. If you're looking for more, you'll need to purchase the main application or look for a different "FREE" alternative.
