Excellent & useful little program! I always feel bad for the developer(s) when I see low star ratings due to something that should be brought to the developer's attention at his or her site; especially if said app is free. I really liked Harristype's comments and very much appreciated the developers reply at the bottom. Not right to give a solid app like this such a low rating. I'd give it 10 stars if I could, just to off set the half star. Thanks Leo–great job! I have many apps that perform similar functions, but "Visibility" just kicked out everything else in my 'HIDDEN FILE FINDERS' folder:UTILITIES/HIDDEN FILE FINDERSGoodbyeHelloHidden Files 3.0.2 Hide It!.appHide and SeekHideSwitch 1.2 Houdini 3.0.1 Invisible Finder 2.1Kilometre 1.2.1Sneak A PeekVisibility 1.4Wizzard 1iShow Invisible 1.6.5iVisibilityX 1.0binvisibliX 3.1The only thing in there now –– is Visibility 1.4All the best Leo…Annie
Wow. That's amazing. I give a program 5 stars, compliment several of the posters here, and you guys give me a -smilie.Sorry I offended you. I guess I'll never learn when it comes to posting here.
10.7 may be right (who uses that?), but it crashes immediately on 10.7.2. Visibilty Toggler (from lightyears ago) still works and is free as well. Had to give it half a star for everything but it does not deserve that.
You "had to give it half a star"? Why? There's a troubleshooting tab for when an app crashes and you need help. Now that the developer has fixed the problem, your half-star still stands because you don't know how to use these threads correctly.
I need help? The non-tested, half-written application needs help... An application that digs into ones system (though not deep) should work. 'Free' doesn't free you from responsibility. Dev. do never ever stand in what kind of elevator in future together with Steve, you won't survive.
@Hanspoot:Thank you for your interest in Zevrix products, as well as your comment. However, you're incorrect in your assumptions. Visibility, just like any other Zevrix product, is a well tested and well written application. Software bugs, however, do occur in any software title, especially new versions. It's an inevitable part of production process. If you really "have been selling Apple computers since 1987", you'd know that Apple had its share of serious software issues. For example, a Mac OS update could wipe out entire FireWire drives of unsuspecting users.Unfortunately, by posting a complaint on MacUpdate you won't solve any issues (developers don't get notifications on this). Another user sent me an email regarding the bug, and it was fixed within a few minutes. Zevrix is well known for its outstanding attention to users' feedback, whether it's a bug report or request for new features. If you need any additional info on Zevrix products or development policies, or have any question or feedback, please feel free to contact me here:http://zevrix.com/about.phpSincerely,Leo Revzin--Zevrix SolutionsSolutions for Graphics, Print & File Deliverywww.zevrix.com
