Boy! So many photo editing and sFX packages out there. It's darn hard to make a decent choice.

I really would like to see some enterprising person take all these and create a feature comparison chart - effect for effect - so we can see what's what. I for one pent a couple of days looking for an app that does a page curl, another day looking for something that would skew an image to give it perspective.

I'd pay ten bucks for such a white paper. Truth!

"Nice", they have ripped off the Japanese application logo which was out there first: Toycamera Analogcolor. Good work boys!

Not exactly. While the Toycamera Icon represents something like a toy flower, the Analog guys have given their Icon the shape of a camera aperture with some lens diaphragm blades. This acutally gives a hint on the purpose of the app (a camera that produces colorful images).
I also wouldn’t call the rainbow color scheme a rip off because this is used on a plethora of icons. There are similarities in the general look but the Analog Icon is really something different and more advanced.

I would have bought Analog immediately but I stick with Mac OS X 10.6.7 which unfortunately isn't supported by Analog.

Uh, why don't you upgrade to 10.6.8? It improves security, among other things. It doesn't cost anything, either.
