Or simply install Developer Tools from your OS X DVD, and then open up Terminal and type "purge" anytime you need, free of charge.

I'm agree with you. But when your system is on a small SSD, you don't want to waste size installing Dev Tools and you would rather use this kind of soft, do you ?
