The download link is provided with the bundle (if you bought it as part of the MacUpdate bundle).

I bought a set. How to download this program. The package does not include the installation file?

Did you download the winter bundle of all the apps? FontPack Pro Master Collection should be in this bundle. If not, just email me at jasonh at macwareinc.com along with proof of purchase and I will send you a download.

It's a great selection of fonts but the free font management app they talk about has fewer features than font book. Can't see the point it bothering to develop it.

In my download there were two fonts that conflicted with each other also. Seems that one of named incorrectly inside the file itself which conflicts with another font of the same name. I've contacted support multiple times and have been waiting for 2 weeks so far without any kind of response. So there's one less font than they claim.

Speaking of claims, the 6,200 fonts they talk about is a little misleading. There's about 850 styles and you get up to 6,200 actual oft files when you add up all the variations (bold, condensed, etc). Even so, at the current price of $50 it's great outstanding value.

Does the license allow to use the fonts as part of commercial iOS applications e.g. a games?

Yes, you can use them for any personal AND commercial (for-profit) project like advertisements, logos, websites, application development, etc. You just cannot repackage the fonts and resell them as your own.

I'm sure it's something stupid on my part but having purchased the bundle and downloaded the font pack, all I see is a single font - Concordia. That's a bit different than the 6,200 promised!
What am I doing wrong?

Me too, I don't understand if it's just one font included in the bundle or all.

Being the impatient sort, I downloaded the FontPac separately from the main bundle - there is only one font (Concordia). When you download the full bundle from MacUpdate it does contain all of the fonts. So, problem solved.

I sent an email complaining of the same thing. They responded (within 5 minutes!) with a link to the full bundle download, not just the FontPack Pro download. I was able to get the entire FontPack that way.

I got the same problem. I can't find their support mail address. Anyone knows?

Does anyone know if they also have mutations for german? (äöüß?)

Well the demo font Concordia has German characters (Download Now to test it yourself). But 741$ are too much. This would be the reason for me to buy the bundle but it has no Turkish characters so maybe next time.

Here is a link to view our standard character set for most of the fonts:

I haven't checked it out - because I dare not do it. There are so many negative on the 83% discount promo discussion thread, so I believe it is worth the while to get some sort of demo first - if they offer that?!

You can download one free commercial use font from the collection by clicking the Download Trial button on the MUPromo page. You can also use one of the following links to view more samples of the included fonts:

http://www.macwareinc.com/products/FontPackProMC/fontfamilies.html

http://www.macwareinc.com/products/FontPackProMC/demo/fontpackprosamples.html

I would hope that people interested in this collection will take a look at the fonts and decide if the styles they see can work for them, rather than just going off the review from others. Take a look at the font samples to see if the fonts look like something you would like.

I'm quite a font lover and I don't just like one type of font. However, the grand majority of these fonts look very mediocre. Also, it's unclear if they also have characters with accents and sometimes even seem to be caps only.

Macware-Dev

Laptopleon, yes they all have international characters for Western European languages; there are only a few fonts that have caps only, the rest are uppercase and lowercase.

Very good point about that discount promo discussion thread. A pity MacUpdate has pulled down that discussion.

Some serious designers weighed in and said these fonts are trash.

As mentioned in that earlier discussion, we are not Adobe and we do not put months (and even years) into designing a single font to get the kerning of every single character and combo of characters precise. This is one reason we do not charge over $10,000 for our library of fonts. We have put over 5 years into designing our font collection and now have about 700-800 completely unique fonts in our collection. We turned these individual fonts into extended font families (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic, Wide, Expanded, Condensed, Narrow, etc.) which has given us over 6,200 total fonts. Our first few hundred fonts were designed to fill many of the standard styles (serif, sans-serif, cursive), and filled up our earlier MacFonts 3 and MacFonts 4 collections, but these past couple years we have since taken a more creative approach to the new fonts we designed. These newer fonts are not included in any of our other collections. $300 for this collection is more than reasonable, and for them to be included with 11 other apps for only $50 is a steal.

Our fonts support the standard Latin international characters for most of Western Europe.

You also need to note that the free fonts you find all over the Internet generally do not include a commercial use license; these are mostly for personal use, or you can purchase a commercial license for between $5 and $30 per font. FontPack Pro Master Collection is much more affordable. Even if you only count the unique font families in our collection, this comes out to only cost less than 10 cents per font!

If you have concerns about kerning, any designer knows how to adjust the space between characters in their creative projects if it is even needed. Apple has made it even easier by providing kerning tools for any application that supports fonts ((from most app menus you just need to go to Format | Font | Kern and choose to tighten or loosen selected text or characters. And, it is not too difficult for a novice to figure out how to adjust the character spacing between letters in most graphic design software if it just doesn't look right.

In any case, if you are looking for a good set of commercial use fonts then FontPack Pro Master Collection can be a good fit for your needs. Not every font will look great to you, but there is a good chance you will find a few dozen that are perfect for you.

I appreciate your opinion that these fonts are trash, but no one is forcing you to purchase them. If you take a look at the samples provided and don't see anything you like, then pass. Others may find a few or a few hundred that look interesting enough to use in their creative projects.
