Window Tidy allows you to manage windows with ease.

How many times have you had to keep switching between documents when you wished you could just see them all at the same time? For example, composing an email whilst referencing information on a spreadsheet and a PDF? The process of dragging and resizing these windows manually is very fiddly and time consuming. And then when you're done, you've got to move them all back! Step in Window Tidy.

Great app, use it very frequently!
Unfortunally since I updated to Lion 10.7.3 Window Tidy crashes silently in the background and needs to quit and started again.
Hope this will be fixed soon, since this is one of my most frequently used apps!

Keep up the good work!

i really like this app. I've tried most of the window-resizing apps and this one just fits my style. i use my macbook a lot for school and have to fit word documents and powerpoints on a single screen often. it's very cumbersome having to drag windows around with a small trackpad. the drag-and-drop option is amazingly efficient.

the only thing I'd like to have added is the option to change the background of the re-size screens within the app. for example, i wanted the screens to be a solid grey. i had to find a wallpaper that matched what i wanted, download it, set it as my wallpaper, change it within the app, and then remove and replace it with my old wallpaper. not a huge problem but a lot more steps than needed, i feel.

it's a shame there aren't any demos available currently. it's really something that needs to be experienced to see if it fits. it sounds like the dev is working on that so hang tight and give it a try.

just discovered the option to drag an image into the app to set as the background. but again, i think a built in solid color choice option would be really helpful and save a few steps.

the only thing i would like added is an option to pick solid colors for the re-size windows within the app. i wanted a grey screen and had to find a wallpaper with the color i wanted, download it, set it as my screen, assign it in the app, and then remove and replace it with my old wallpaper. not a huge deal, but a bit more work than i wanted to do.

it's a shame that there is no demo, as i find these types of apps need to be experienced in order to decide if it's right for the buyer. for me it's perfect.

This looks interesting, but there are a few things I want to play with on it before making a decision. Unfortunately, there's no demo, and I'm not shelling out $11 without being able to try it first.

Indeed! It looks promising and highly interesting (watch the demo video on dev. website). Unfortunately, it is sold only on MAS and no free trial version is offered on the dev. website.

I have been using the excellent and user-friendly Moom for many months now and was able to try it free before buying. And the dev. of Moom offer either to buy it from MAS or from their website. At more than half the price ($5) of Window Tidy.

When the developers will understand that Mac users want to try before buying? And most of us want the keep their choice of the buying outlet...

Light Pillar (Developer)

Hi Guys, I am the developer for Window Tidy and just wanted to let you all know that I have read these posts.

I understand fully that many people would like to try before they buy, and that they may prefer to purchase direct rather than via the App Store. Please be assured that we are working on providing these options, we are new to Mac development and the App Store is a convenient route to market for developers, which is why we chose to start there.

You may also be interested to know that all of our apps, iOS and OS X are available for FREE this weekend in our special Black Friday sale. That's Sat 26th and Sun 27th of December. Hopefully one of you guys will post back here to let everyone know what you think of the apps.

I hope you enjoy them, I'm sorry you found the lack of a demo dissapointing, if you have any questions just drop me a mail to support@lightpillar.com and I'd be happy to help.
