Broom is a lightweight, easy-to-use disk cleaning utility for your Mac. It has two life-saving features: Broom alerts you when your disk space is running low and helps you to quickly pick and choose what needs to be cleaned up.

Once installed, Broom sits quietly in your menubar. One click on the Broom icon shows you how much space you've got left on your hard drive. If you're running low, Broom will let you know and help you to zero in on the biggest offenders immediately.

Between Hazel, Cocktail, and/or TechTool, what added benefit can Broom provide?

Plus, another menu item being added to my already crowded menu bar isn't a big seller. My preference would either be a widget, and/or a keyboard shortcut to get to something that "operates in the background."

The little picture of Broom's menubar disk usage meter is cute, but why don't they show us the important part — its "life-saving" function of helping to "zero in on the biggest offenders immediately" to regain hard drive space? That's the only intriguing thing about it, but they neither explain nor illustrate how it works — not the best strategy for a developer who has jumped on the crApp Store bandwagon and doesn't offer a trial app. Pass.
