Yoink helps making drag and drop between spaces or fullscreen apps in OS X Lion easier.
Every time you start dragging a file, Yoink fades in a tiny window on the left edge of your screen so you can drag files to it.
This frees up your mouse so you can comfortably navigate to the destination of the drop and resume the drag from Yoink's window.

Something Apple has steadfastly refused to supply since ever.
Used to be various Shelf apps - and yes, Pathfinder has one, it's so damn elementary. And since Lion farked with drag and drop, needed more than ever.

I could really use a stand alone app like the Drop Stack in Path Finder, but I don't think Yoink is it (so far).

About the only things I can see it does better is the shelf appears as soon as the drag begins. Some might like but it's unnecessary unless you are indeed going to use it. If the resolving aliases works out that would be another benefit.
Kudos to EternalStorms for the trial! Might even buy (only $3) just to support developer of GimmeSomeTune.
