FacebookNotifier is a Safari Extension that adds a toolbar item with a badge showing the current unread notifications you have on facebook.
What's New
Version 1.3:
  • Facebook apparently removed the notifications from the top of the page that I was pinging. I've updated the extension to ping a proper page. All should work as before.

Don't use it... terrible memory leak in Safari 5.0.5! Over time, your Safari instance will use more than 2.5GB of RAM!
