Didnt produce one converter file.
Free but worthless.
Handbrake is the way to go if you need a free converter.

Additionally, Smart Converter doesn’t make DVDs, MPEG2 or Matroska (.mkv) files, and there is no ability to select, change or adjust anything at all, so it’s ridiculously barebones and utterly useless, like most of Shedworks software.
To be fair, I gave it a 5-star Ease of Use rating simply because it’s never used by anyone I know, therefore extremely easy. Nice that it’s free, though.

Didn't produce a working movie for my iPod something many converters doesnt seem to do anyway.
But it is already much better compared to Vidconvert which is the main competitor for simple converters. Free is great too.
However, still some work to do but promising nevertheless.
I will keep an eye on this.
