Some calculators have tons of tiny buttons for every function imaginable. But in everyday life, it's much more useful to have a big convenient [+] button than one for sine. That's why we decided to equip our calculator with only the most basic functions: +, -,

1. You cannot edit a formula that you've typed in any other way than by deleting characters from the end. So if you make a mistake halfway through, you can't just change one digit, you have to delete the last half of the formula to get back to the digit you want to change.
2. Once you switch away from the calculator, it becomes transparent and you can't see the numbers on it any more. There's no option to maintain visibility of the calculator when using another app.
I purchased Handy calculator in May and wrote to the dev with suggestions to address these annoyances. I received a response indicating that they would be incorporated into a future update, but three months later there's still no update. That's a shame, as Handy Calculator is otherwise a great replacement calculator for the Mac.
